The Chiu group utilizes tools of organic and physical organic chemistry to synthesize and study new polymer and supramolecular systems with wide-ranging potential applications.  Some of our current projects include:

• developing switchable catalyst systems for copolymerization reactions

• using external stimuli to modulate polymer dispersity

• synthesizing organic macrocycles and coordination cages as components of chemical systems with emergent properties
